![]() ![]() While nothing can duplicate film other than film, these do a pretty good job of getting you close. I love the versatility that digital gives me, but also love the softness of film. What are they exactly? They’re Lightroom presets created to emulate film photography. I bought my first pack, Fuji, then my second, Portra, and the minute they released the black and white Ilford, I bought those too. ![]() One glance on their website and I was hooked! I HAD to have these presets! All of them! They were glowing, light, airy, but yet crispy all at the same time. What is this Mastin thing everyone is talking about?! It go so annoying that I had to check it out. Like a faint little whisper you’re not sure you heard, but you think you did, “mastin.” Quickly, more people started whispering, “mastin, mastin, mastin.” That whisper started turning into a constant buzz in my ear that I couldn’t shake. While I was on maternity leave, I kept hearing this name pop up in photography forums. Not to mention they’re expensive, and how do you know if you’re actually going to like the effects until you’ve already bought them, and then it’s too late. I didn’t want to feel like I was copying what every one else was doing, and felt like I did a pretty good job of developing an editing style all my own. ![]()
